There are now new entry requirements for Tenerife which means that each member of your party aged 14 and above must provide some personal details as part of the check in process. We will be sending you a form approximately 60 days before you travel which will assist us in getting this process started for you. Failure to complete the forms may create delays in you gaining access to your villa.
In the latter part of 2026 additional requirements called European Travel Information and Authorisation Systems (ETIAS) will be introduced. Anyone travelling from a non-EU country i.e. Great Britain who wishes to enter an EU country will require a visa. This will need to be obtained in advance by filling out the applicable application form – the form is easily filled in via the link www.etias.com – and paying a fee which is currently set at 20 Euros. This applies to everyone between the ages of 18 to 70. The ETIAS visa lasts for 3 years or until the renewal date of your passport. Due to enhanced passport checks you may experience longer queuing times at the airport.
Please also note that the EHIC card is now being replaced with a GHIC (Global Health Insurance Card). This is easily ordered free of charge on the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/healthcare-abroad/apply-for-a-free-uk-global-health-insurance-card-ghic/ . Existing EHIC cards are valid until they expire.
We would also like to take this opportunity to reassure all guests that despite the increased security measures mentioned above tourists are still very welcome in Tenerife and the rest of the Canary Islands.
